Starbreak: Beta 12

Good afternoon testers. Here are today's patch notes:

  • General
    • Boosts have animation when picked up
    • More weapon sounds implemented
    • Boss decoupling fixed
  • Lobby
    • Portals stay open 2 minutes after being opened or 30 seconds after 5 players have entered
  • Temple of the Lost
    • Launched!
  • Fire Forest
    • Small slope graphics better match the terrain
  • Fungus Cave
    • Prevent King Native from moving before a player gets into range
  • Elite Fire Forest
    • Separate deed rewarded for completion
  • Strands
    • Increase the minimum distance range of the boss parts
  • Graveyard
    • Fix Loader death animation
    • Boss will die properly if killed while moving
    • Fix issue with boss portals not spawning enemies after a period of time

Good afternoon testers. Here are today's patch notes:

We are in the process of adding new loot for all shells. If your favorite shell didn't get any new loot, they should get some soon. Stay tuned!

  • General
    • Added tips to the loading screens
    • Add an item pickup animation
    • Unregistered players have been given a "New Spark" name that is visible to others
    • Shell dispensers now show tooltips even when players are in shell form
    • Some doors now have an interact animation
    • Finalized music for all areas
    • Cross-fade music when switching areas
    • Fixed an issue that sometimes caused delayed loading of sprite sheets
  • Duskwing
    • Added Mirrored Warp
    • Added Kulbeda
  • Wildfire
    • Improved effectiveness of Scattered Blasts
    • Added Bolt Thrower
    • Added Soidal Repeater
  • Forest
    • Midboss
      • Reduced difficulty of the encounter
      • Fixed issue with jumper ball
    • New map parts have been added
  • Cave:
    • Boss
      • Players should no longer be able to hide from the boss at the top of the map
      • Fixed broken tiles in the Boss room
    • Fixed an issue that caused drip slimes to attack from a place they are not currently positioned
  • Underground Base:
    • Tank
      • Attacks have been randomized
      • New attack added
      • Tank will not perform some attacks when it doesn't have the ceiling clearance
  • Strands
    • Boss
      • Fix z-order and segment positions
      • Fixed an issue with the Strands deed not dropping
    • Turtle
      • Increase hitpoints
      • Fix issue with death sound not playing
    • Hoppers
      • Fix jumping SFX for hoppers
      • Removed loot from hopper infinite spawns
    • Gnats
      • Increase HP
      • Modify movement behavior
    • Fix issue that caused spider SFX to loop continuously
  • Graveyard
    • Fix an issue with the grenade pulse art not properly indicating the size of its damage area

Welcome testers!

In the future we will use this blog to post release notes and other updates about the game.

As of this first release, the game contains the following:

  • 4 shells:
    • Wildfire
    • Duskwing
    • Ironclad
    • Toaster
  • 3 zones:
    • Fire Forest
    • Fungus Cave
    • Underground Base
  • Eschaton station
  • 30+ items with hundreds of possible modifier combinations
